General Usage

In preparation of toxicity testing, the following steps are generally followed:

  1. Freeze dried reagents stored at -20 °C to -25 °C to maintain activity
  2. Reconstitution of the reagent and dilute samples
  3. Adjust salinity of the samples
  4. Test samples

Basic Techniques

As samples are collected, fill the borosilicate glass screw cap containers with Teflon® lined caps to the top, leaving no airspace as this helps to keep volatile material in solution. Samples should be tested as soon as possible after collection to prevent unpredictable changes in composition.
